Deep in the jungle in the southern states of Mexico, we felt more connected to nature and our culture than ever before.
Our mornings began with a cup of coffee and a sense of wonder for the Mayan culture. Just the night before, we had witnessed an impressive performance by the Mayan civilization and its decline as the Spanish Conquistadors overtook the lands. Witnessing the birth of our Mexico Lindo y Querido, we became so proud of our roots. We felt a sense of belonging to the land, the ocean, its fruits and its people. We thought— how can we bring a piece of our history back home? Our experience in the heartland had taught us the importance of creating community and connection. So we came up with Chingate un Café, a company based on principles of honoring our ancestors, giving back to our roots and providing the ultimate organic coffee experience rooted in Mexican customs.
We’ve been able to collaborate with local farmers in order to bring you the freshest coffee bean(s) from the campos of Mexico’s finest regions, picked by natives of the land. We take pride in honoring the labor executed by each individual involved in this process, providing you a product that is a result of community, connection and transparency. It has been through this experience that we have been able to feel connected to our roots, our ancestors, our childhood and our culture. We hope to provide you, your own sense of connection to Mexico’s coffee culture.
